Victoria Baeza Garcia is a Journalism with a business specialization and Creative Computing double major at SMU, originally from Chihuahua, Mexico. After starting her studies at Tarrant County College, she transferred to SMU as a North Texas Community College Scholar. Victoria brings a tech-savvy edge to storytelling. She has worked as a reporter, photographer, and newsletter editor for The Daily Campus; as an anchor and co-creator of a TV show for SMU-TV; and as a staff writer for The Dallas Morning News. She is passionate about using technology to innovate journalism. Outside the newsroom, she’s active in volunteer work and community engagement.
